Sneak-A-Peek At My Upcoming Gowns

Nº1. PROLOGUE

Instead of stacks of canvases,
I have racks of wedding gowns.

I work with small boutiques to help clear out gowns they can no longer order. I then wash, steam, repair, alter, dye, and paint each dress to transform it into an original one-off creation. Here are some of the gowns I have collected and my visions for them so you can see if your dream dress might soon hit the shop. Sizes are listed as well ♥

BTW — I tend to go rogue; not all the gowns will survive, only the strongest. It’s cut-throat on who will keep my attention. I often start one and abandon it, then circle back when the light bulb flips on with the right solution. So these are kind-of sort-of in order and will change periodically.
I’m an *artist*; it’s part of the process.

Nº2. UPDATED 1/13/2025

The Gowns & Vision

For more images of these dresses and exact size measurements, google the gown name.
I am also actively still developing veils and accessories.

Willowby Waverly 58803 ~ Size 18W

Inspired by the unique base color of this dress, I have colored each layer with teal and rust tones to mimic a copper patina. The lace is getting some added shine with tons of jewels, so she SHINES. Side note: the bottom layer of this dress detaches! I’m obsessed.

VERY CLOSE TO DONE!

Willowby Watter 59703R Mila ~ Sizes 4, 14 & 18W

SWTICHAROO, as I was coloring this, the winter tones of icy blues and moody, warm browns changed my vision. The background ombre is now a frosty teal blue, with hand-painted florals of blush, burnt orange, plum, and crimson like a withered and dried bouquet.

Madison James

Kozma ~ 24W

I'm still contemplating this one. I obviously have to do Galaxy, and the Eagle Nebula and Messier 16 photos from NASA stand out to me, but I’m open to ideas and insight! Please share your thoughts in the comments.

Wtoo Waters Effie ~ 16W

*Skirt ONLY*The prep work is almost done. I’m going to do a Prism coloring with this one — light rainbow following along the horsehair hem.

Sottero and Midgley Weston ~ 18W

THAT train!!! I’m focusing efforts there; and feeling very ~ garden, overgrown vibes, DEFINITELY adding 3D elements.

Madison James Allure Jagger ~ 12

The “Lace” on this dress is more like glitter glue; I think I’m going to play on this aspect and add a dimensional painting all over with a lot of shine. Color-wise I am not sure, but emerald green has been on my mind as of late.

Hazel Lynette ~ Size 12

This one is quite the project. I’m nearly entirely hand-painting this one. It features many red and pink-toned florals on a green background with touches of purples and blues, topped with matching jewels. I’m about 40% done. *psttt the cover image of this blog is a photo of this gown*

Allure Bridals Patsy ~ Stretchy Size 16

I am still shocked I got my hands on a colorful dress. You know what we need to do: make it more colorful. She is also two-part; the lining is separate! This is a game changer for my work, so I feel like we have a full-color opportunity here. Since she can be worn as two different gowns, they both need to be addressed separately. I have to give you two complete works, a lovely set; it might take a bit.

Madison James Mj650L ~ Size 14

I am using the same colors as Moab for this dress but in a different style. I’ve started by dying the back lightly and then adding handmade florals in deep marron with teal beaded leaves and stems. Most of my work is going on the top back of the dress, and I will only lightly be coloring the bottom.
